Es stellte sich kein eindeutiger Zusammenhang zwischen der Art der Trennungsmitteilung und der Trennungsbewältigung durch die Kinder dar. Es konnte jedoch gezeigt werden, dass ein Zusammenhang zwischen einem Gespräch über die Trennung und einer positiven Vater-Kind-Beziehung besteht. Die Diskussion der Ergebnisse beleuchtet die Vielschichtigkeit und Bedeutung dieses Themas, das in der Literatur und von vielen trennungswilligen Eltern offenbar vernachlässigt, angesichts der stetig steigenden Scheidungsziffern hoch aktuell ist und bleiben wird. On the basis of 45 expert opinions of custody cases involving 89 children dating from and of 62 questionnaires answered by the parents it was examined, how the parents old their children about the impending separation. We were interested if the way the parents told their children and the contents of the communication had an impact on coping with the separation.
